In 2005, the owner of Intracoastal Realty, Jim Wallace established the "Teacher's Fund" to help local public and private kindergarten-through-5th-grade school teachers buy the supplies and books they so desperately need. The Teacher's Fund is a 501(c)(3) registered non-profit. To date, the Teacher's Fund has awarded over 1700 grants in excess of $340,000 and benefitting more than 220,000 students.
Please fill out and submit the following form to identify what supplies are needed and why. No amount is too small. Applications may be submitted from September - May 31st each school year. The Teacher’s Fund Board meets the first Wednesday of every month to review the previous month’s applications. Notification letters are mailed to all applicants the second week of the month. For example, if you apply during the month of January, your application will be reviewed the first week in February, and notification letter will be mailed the second week in February. Once you receive notification, simply purchase the items you requested and mail the original receipt along with your notification letter. RECEIPTS MUST BE RECEIVED WITHIN 45 DAYS of the date of notification. A check will be made out directly to you, and mailed within 30 days. Currently, we do not fund: clothing, computers (includes iPads), some technology supplies, professional development, guest speakers for assemblies, field trips, or transportation. All submissions are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
