Meet The Management Team

Jim Wallace – Founder/CEO

Jim attended Florida State University on a basketball scholarship and majored in English and History. After graduation, he worked in sales for a construction equipment manufacturer in Los Angeles and New York City. Jim started his real estate career with Carolina Caribbean Corporation and managed their sales office in New Orleans and later in Atlanta.  After moving to Wilmington in 1976, he founded Intracoastal Realty. The company’s first office was in a small building on Wrightsville Beach with just Jim and one employee. Today, the company has over 350 agents, 50 support staff, and 13 offices. Jim is dedicated to providing the agents and staff of Intracoastal the highest quality training and support that is available. The company’s IT and Marketing Departments are on the cutting edge of innovation. Jim’s mantra for the company is “Experience the Exceptional” and the company is committed to “whatever it takes” to offer world-class service to its clients and agents.

Trey Wallace – President

Trey Wallace is native of the Wilmington area and has been witness to its explosive growth over the past several decades. Growing up on Wrightsville Beach and introduced to real estate sales and development at a young age, he has been fortunate to have exposure to many different perspectives on the industry. During high school and continuing through college, Trey worked summers in the company’s IT department, helping the agents with the real estate technology explosion of the early 2000s, and the challenges that came with it. After graduating college from East Carolina University, he acquired a real estate license in 2010, and over the next couple of years worked as a sales agent in Intracoastal’s Lumina Station office. In 2013, he made a transition into the company’s management team, with a focus on operations. Since that time, he has acquired management experience in sales, operations and accounting, marketing, rentals, and even real estate development, working as project manager for the very successful Spartina Townhomes project near Wrightsville Beach. Now serving as President of Intracoastal Realty, Trey is excited about the future of the industry, and is looking forward to working collectively to raise the real estate bar in the region, and elsewhere.

Natalie Clark – Chief Financial Officer

Natalie Clark is a native of North Carolina but her love of the beach moved her to Wilmington in 2008. Natalie graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne College in Hickory, NC with a B.A. in accounting and knew from her first accounting class in high school that she would be an accountant. She has always loved the challenge of debits and credits, processes and procedures and loves to dot all of the “I”s and cross all of the “T”s when it comes to the numbers. After several years of working in corporate accounting, she decided to become a Certified Public Accountant and grow her career as a corporate accountant. After spending 22 years working for an entrepreneur and learning all aspects of accounting, human resources, group insurance, corporate insurance and structure, she was ready for her role at Intracoastal. Natalie now loves watching and assisting with the growth of Intracoastal Realty and enjoys time with her husband, her dog and her too many cats to mention.

Chris Livengood – Vice President of Sales

Chris Livengood is a well-traveled native of North Carolina. Chris graduated from NC State University with a BS in Business and a minor in Economics before completing graduate work at Wake Forest University. Chris’ career in sales began with Hanes Hosiery Products, a division of Sara Lee Corporation, where he rose over a 14 year career to Director of Sales. That position took him to New York City. Upon returning to North Carolina and beginning a career in Real Estate, he was his firm’s Rookie of the Year and a consistent Top Producer before moving again into Sales Management. Chris was recruited by Intracoastal Realty in July of 2006 and moved to Wilmington at that time. Chris has held several Board positions with his local Association of REALTORS and enjoys the opportunity to give back to his profession. Chris’ fundamental management goal is to serve and support the efforts of the market’s number one Sales Team. There is nothing more exciting than successfully navigating the waters of a difficult market, one Client transaction at a time.

Lake Slacum – Vice President of Marketing

Lake is a native of the Eastern Shore of Maryland and is a graduate of East Carolina University. After spending 11 years in Hilton Head Island working in operations and marketing for Marriott International and American Golf Corporation, Lake relocated to the Wilmington area in 2003. Lake’s passion for real estate marketing brought him to Intracoastal Realty, where he is responsible for the marketing and branding of the company’s general brokerage, commercial, and property management divisions. Perhaps the most important aspect of his job – and the one he finds most rewarding – is helping individual agents with their personal marketing needs. Lake and his marketing team offer services and structured support to help agents achieve their sales goals. The marketing department is a valuable resource for the agents, providing an extensive array of online and offline marketing products, services, and training. With Lake and his staff, the agents’ needs are priority #1.

John Schweighardt – Chief Information Officer

John grew up in New Jersey, but has called North Carolina home since 2000. He began his career as a software programmer and progressed into management running IT Departments for BASF and other fortune 100 companies. In 2004 he joined Fonville Morisey Realty in Raleigh where he introduced many new technology solutions while maintaining a very high level of customer service and support. In 2015 he assumed additional responsibility as the VP of IT for Long and Foster Realty in Chantilly VA, where he directed the Technology Support group. His years of experience in the real estate industry is a great asset to Intracoastal and instrumental to keep the company on the forefront of new technology. John has a BS in Computer Science and a BA in Business from William Paterson University. He lives in Wilmington with his wife Elizabeth and has 2 daughters, Claudia and Cecilia.

Stephanie Fessel - Director of Learning and Development

Stephanie is a native of Dallas, Texas. Fessel has lived in Charlotte, NC since 1998 and most recently moved to Wilmington to take on her new role with Intracoastal Realty. She and her husband, Dennis, reside in the Monkey Junction area of Wilmington. They have three grown children, one Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, a son-in-law actively serving in the United States Army in Fort Bragg; and three grandchildren. She enjoys eating Mexican food, traveling, spending quality time with her family, and enjoying her favorite cocktail while basking in the sun at one of Carolinas’ fabulous beaches. Stephanie oversees training and agent development for Intracoastal Realty, including the company’s exclusive Pathways to Excellence training program for new and seasoned agents. A career sales trainer and former real estate agent herself, Fessel has enjoyed a highly successful real estate career since 2001, most recently serving as Director of Learning for Premier Sotheby’s International Realty’s Southwest Florida and North Carolina Regions. Prior to that, she held positions as Director of Professional Development for Allen Tate Realtors in Charlotte, NC and as Director of Career Development for Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Charlotte, NC.

Phillip Galloway - Director of Education and Compliance

Phillip started his career in real estate in 1970 shortly after graduating from Wilmington College. After spending four years in residential sales, Phillip spent two years in commercial real estate doing site selection for franchised restaurants and hotel chains as well as shopping center leasing. Shortly after his commercial experience, Phillip owned and operated a major real estate franchise office in Wilmington for over twelve years. With over twenty years as a real estate instructor, he serves as head of the Professional Development and Education Department for Intracoastal Realty where he teaches sales skills training, pre and post licensing classes, and continued education classes. Phillip is also the owner of The Market Place Academy real estate school.

Melisa Gallison – Agent Skills Development Manager, Wilmington - Lumina Station office

Melisa Gallison grew up in Louisiana and began her real estate career in Beverly Hills, CA before moving to North Carolina in 1997. Prior to being recruited by Intracoastal Realty to serve as Director of the company’s New Homes Division, Melisa worked in sales and business development. Melisa currently serves as Agent Skills Development Manager for the Wilmington Lumina Station office, using her unique experience and background to coach and develop new and experienced sales agents toward the success they desire. She is always looking for experienced agents wanting to join the area’s industry market leader, as well as identifying new agents with a passion for success. Melisa is very active in the community, serving on local boards, assisting in fundraising for various non-profit groups and working with companion animal organizations. She was recognized numerous times as Sales Manager of the Year by the WCF Home Builders Association and has received community service recognition from the NC Association of Realtors, Wilmington Regional Association of Realtors and the WCFHBA. Cynthia Remahl – Broker-In-Charge, Carolina Beach office

Cynthia is the Managing Broker in Charge for Intracoastal Realty’s Carolina Beach office. Cynthia is a native of Washington, Pennsylvania, and a graduate of North Carolina State University. Cynthia is passionate about her role and the ability to help others succeed. With a background in Human Resources and Management Consulting, coaching and development of agents and staff is a natural fit. Cynthia enthusiastically embraces each new opportunity to provide exceptional experiences for agents and customers. David Eggleston - Broker-In-Charge, Wrightsville Beach office

David is a Wilmington native who grew up in Roanoke, Va. After graduating from the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee with a BA in English, he went to work in a family owned wholesale sporting goods business in Wilmington. David started his real estate career at Intracoastal in 1990 and has been Broker-In-Charge of the Wrightsville Beach office since 1996.

Lenora Norris - Broker-In-Charge, Leland Office

Lenora has lived in the Wilmington area since 1977 and has been a licensed agent since 1996. Over the last 20 years she has been involved in all aspects of the residential real estate arena, from general brokerage to vacation rentals, and has been a Broker-in-Charge for 10 years. She is the recipient of numerous awards for both her personal sales achievements as well as Office/Brokerage production results. She is one of only three certified NAR Mediators with the Wilmington Regional Association of Realtors, and as such is involved with negotiating and mediating conflict between brokers or clients. The skills and experience of mediation are also a perfect fit for the challenges of managing a real estate office. She is involved in the community through her leadership in various service endeavors and has taken an active role in the North Brunswick Chamber of Commerce. Tanya Wildman - Broker-In-Charge, Downtown Wilmington Office

Having lived in Wilmington since 1994, Tanya Wildman has a unique perspective of the Wilmington area having not grown up in Southeastern NC. She has immersed herself in the culture of the area and understands the lifestyles available to purchasers in the Cape Fear area. Her love and dedication to historic downtown Wilmington is evident through restoring an 1849 home as well as developing and owning several businesses in the historic commercial business district. Licensed as a real estate agent since 1995, Tanya has been a Broker in Charge of a downtown Wilmington sales office since 2000. In addition to her BIC duties, she managed corporate relocation and referrals on a company basis. She is excited to be with Intracoastal Realty and all that it has to offer its agents and clients. Son of an Air Force Pilot and mother who were native to Wilmington, married with three children, David was born in Panama, Central America, but has called Wilmington home since 1970. Having had the opportunity to live in Europe as well as several places in the United States, David has a unique view of Wilmington and the warm southern environment. A REALTOR since 1990, he has enjoyed a career as a sales agent, owner, Broker in Charge, Corp Trainer for Prudential and most recently with Intracoastal Realty as Assistant Sales Manager. Linda Williams - Broker-In-Charge, Ocean Isle Beach Office

Linda is a native North Carolinian having grown up in the foothills of NC. She moved to the piedmont area after graduating from Wingate College. She and her husband lived there until they made Ocean Isle their permanent home in 2001. She began her real estate career over 25 years ago as an agent and later with partners opened the Carolina Real Estate Group which was the number one agency in Union County, North Carolina. Linda joined Intracoastal Realty in Ocean Isle Beach in 2015 and has enjoyed being a part of the tremendous growth in the area. She loves working with the agents to help them be the best they can be and is very dedicated to “team” work. Her personal passion is walking the beach collecting sea glass and shells. She and her husband dote on their grandchildren and two dogs.

Mary Ann Euverard - Recruiting Coordinator

Mary Ann began her real estate career in 1977 in the greater Akron, Ohio area. After transferring to Wilmington in 1979, she continued her successful sales career until 1993 when she became the managing broker for a local company.She has worked as a Broker-In-Charge for several local real estate firms before transitioning into her present career as Recruiting Coordinator for Intracoastal Realty.
