Each week at our sales meeting we have a “Mystery Agent.” This gives us a chance to learn more about one of our colleagues that we may not have known otherwise.

  • A native of North Carolina.
  • A child of the 60’s.
  • Moved 11 times in 8 years to destinations including Louisiana, California, Colorado, Connecticut and Georgia, before coming back to NC in 1986.
  • A member of the Atlanta Lawn Tennis Association picked up the game of racquetball during its heyday in the late 70’s and played competitively for many years.
  • Licensed in Real Estate in 1983 and worked new home sales in Atlanta before moving to Wrightsville Beach in 1986.  Studied for NC Brokers exam with Bob Newton and his wife, Linda, back in 1987.
  • Worked for many years on the “Autumn with Topsail” Festival and served as executive officer with Economic Development Council and Board of Realtors.
  • When she arrived at Serenity Point in Topsail to begin her on-site sales in 1988, there was a sign posted at the town line saying “Closed for the Winter.”
  • Owned the Carribbean Café in Wilmington from 1989 – 1993.
  • She loves the “spring greens” of the NC mountains and the clear fall days at the beach.
  • Proud mother of a son and daughter with 5 beautiful grandchildren.

  • Used to play in foosball tournaments on weekends.

  • Was the 2008 Cambridge Professional of the year representing North Carolina real estate.
  • Wrote the coastal fishing news for the North Carolina Outdoorsman magazine for 5 years.
  • Co-founded the Cape Fear Disabled Sportsman’s Tournament.
  • Has game fished Alabama, Louisiana, Florida, Texas, and North Carolina.
  • Has big game hunted in Ohio, Alabama, Texas, and North Carolina.
  • Favorite camouflage pattern is “Mossy Oak Break Up”.
  • Has had a few different last names in the last 40 years.
  • Was the first “Miss Southern Pines” in 1968.

Each week at our sales meeting we have a “Mystery Agent.” This gives us a chance to learn more about one of our colleagues that we may not have known otherwise.

  • Born in Charlotte and grew up in Wilmington.
  • Played football and enjoyed Boy Scouts in school (his Scout Master was Eva Elmore’s Dad).
  • Played the trombone in the UNCW band and graduated with a degree in Psychology.
  • Was President of the Optimists Club.
  • Help start the Crisis Line as a member of the steering committee, and was involved with the Organization for 10 years.
  • Knows Morse Code.
  • Started water skiing at an early age.
  • Traveled to Turkey, Greece, Italy and Mexico in the past 18 months, and will travel to France, Greece, and Spain in the next 12 months.
  • Went to the State championships in roller skating and competed in the Speed, Dance and Freestyle categories. Continues to enjoy skating today.
  • He met his lovely wife through emails to a University in Mexico City while trying to coordinate a trip for his church youth group.

Each week at our sales meeting we have a “Mystery Agent.” This gives us a chance to learn more about one of our colleagues that we may not have known otherwise.
·   Born in St. Louis, the first of five girls, and attended 17 years of Catholic School, Graduating from the University of Dayton with a degree in Communications.
·   Sang and acted in school productions, including a part in Oliver, but lost one of the “gang” leads because I could not “street whistle”
·   Played intramural basketball and field hockey in school.
·   Lived on Cape Cod for 10 years.
·   Worked at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution as a senior fund raising officer at the time Bob Ballard and his team found the Titanic in 1985.
·  Organized a tour of Woods Hole for Jackie Onassis who came over from Martha’s Vineyard.
·  Helped organize and assist with a group of 56 that went to Perth, Australia for the America’s Cup Race.
·  Ran the New York City marathon finishing 127th woman, with a time of 3 hours, 16 mins, 2 sec = pace of 7 ½ min miles.
·   Moved to Wilmington 20 years ago and bought a lot in Landfall from Vance Young.

  • Born in  Anniston, Alabama but not a Crimson Tide fan.
  • Family moved 4 times before I entered  the 1st grade.
  • Started my own business to pay for undergraduate and graduate degrees.
  • The “Y”  didn’t offer adult swimming lessons, so I took their scuba diving certification class and got certified.
  • Taken cooking classes at the Institute of Culinary Education, The New School and the Culinary Institute of America (CIA).
  • Favorite dish to prepare – a mojito, shaken not stirred.
  • Began corporate career at the tender age of 33.
  • Toured with a gospel choir throughout the southeast and mid-west.
  • Father was a Pentecostal Holiness Preacher.
  • Just now learning how to fish.

  • Taught Cold Fusion programming in a West Palm Beach Community College.

  • Has surfed since the age of eight, with experiences that included a 15 ft set of El Nino waves off Santa Cruz.
  • Has traveled cross country by car more than 30 times.

  • Born in North Carolina, this agent traveled across the United States three times before the age of 10.
  • Performed on stage at the Los Angeles County Fair as a child.
  • Worked with special needs kids in high school and tutored elementary students in reading as an adult.
  • Survived a car accident at age 19 and had 125 stitches put in her face. Has broken her collar bone three times.
  • Bungee jumped at age 35 and sky dived at age 45. A self-admitted tom boy.
  • Been to three Final Fours, two Kentucky Derbys, and on one atomic submarine.
  • Between 2004 and 2007 had nine major surgeries.
  • While tending to her husband at Duke Hospital, she was taken to the emergency room for an overnight stay herself.
  • Has four grandsons and two on the way.
  • Loves to bake.
  • Raised in California and Puerto Rico.
  • She is half-Cuban

Each week at our sales meeting we have a “Mystery Agent.” This gives us a chance to learn more about one of our colleagues that we may not have known otherwise.
Clues for this Week’s Mystery Agent:
  • My mother’s side of the family has two famous/infamous members, John Wilkes Booth and the guy who started the Salvation Army.
  • Graduated 2 in high school class and was scholar athlete of my senior class of 240.
  • Parents have been happily married 49 years and counting.
  • Has traveled extensively: China, Japan, Europe, Canada, Mexica, Costa Rica, Carribean, and most of the US.
  • My favorite jobs include being a farmhand, a Bio teacher at UNC, and a painter (I owned painting company throughout college).
  • Least favorite job was being a janitor my freshman year in college!
  • My family members are all 5’8″ and shorter.
  • Born and raised in Portland, Maine.
  • Undergrad at Cornell.
  • Grad at UNC chapel Hill with a MS in environmental engineering
  • My grandmother lived to 98 and her brother (my great uncle) died 3 months shy of 100.
