Each week at our sales meeting we have a “Mystery Agent.” This gives us a chance to learn more about one of our colleagues that we may not have known otherwise.

  • Born in Raleigh and grew up in Nash County.
  • Father was a cotton ginner.
  • Took swimming lessons in the lagoon at Wrightsville Beach.
  • First job was “handing” tobacco at age 15 for 15 cents an hour.
  • Graduated from two ACC schools, UNC Chapel Hill and Wake Law.
  • Waited tables and tended bar through law school.
  • On staff of Governor’s Committee on Law and Order.
  • Helped owner start A Southern Season in Chapel Hill and was first employee.
  • Deputy Legal Counsel to Gov. Jim Hunt (handled matters of executive clemency which involved staffing the Governor’s Mansion with inmates).
  • Was on the legal staff of NC Department of Insurance.
  • Started real estate at the peak of the market (looks forward to the next peak).
  • Was Raleigh’s Community Ambassador to Finland and Russia.
  • Lived in Switzerland for 4 years, while there, visited 14 countries on 5 continents each year.
  • Had the lead role in Raleigh Dinner Theater’s “Barefoot in the Park.”
  • Wants next role to be “Aunt Mame” to her grand children.

  • I was born and raised in Wilmington.
  • I went to Appalachian State University where I got a B.S. in Mathematics.
  • I took Taekwondo for ten years and got my third degree black belt.
  • I worked at Medac, Abercrombie, Advance Auto Parts, Valvoline, and many tutoring centers.
  • I am petrified of roaches.
  • I am a sucker for bojangles macaroni and cheese and cookout Oreo milkshakes.
  • I am in the process of learning how to extreme coupon.
  • I participate in crossfit four to five times a week.
  • I have a four year old German Shepard named Gabri.
  • I am participating in the “Tough Mudder” on October 27. It is an 11 mile obstacle course in the mud with 25 military style obstacles.

  • Has lived in Wilmington for 10 years.
  • Graduated from UNCW with a bachelor degree in Psychology.
  • Joined the Intracoastal team in 2010.
  • Is a big Tarheel fan.
  • Has no children but is the mother of 2 chihuahuas and 1 chocolate lab.
  • Loves to travel with her family.
  • Originally from Lumberton, NC.
  • When she moved to Wilmington, her parents quickly followed and now live full time at Wrightsville Beach.
  • She is recently engaged to her high school sweetheart .

Each week at our sales meeting we have a “Mystery Agent.” This gives us a chance to learn more about one of our colleagues that we may not have known otherwise.

  • Born on Fort Bragg and moved immediately to Tripoli, Africa.
  • According to the house boy, my first language was Arabic.
  • Attended 8 schools including General HH Arnold High School in Wiesbaden, Germany and traveled throughout Europe by age 18.
  • At the age of 13, I spent the summer in Coats, NC priming tobacco on my grandmother’s farm.
  • Attended Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado where I played trumpet in the symphonic and marching band and earned a degree in Business Administration.
  • After graduation I worked in the finance industry in Denver, Colorado.
  • Have snow skied over half the resorts in Colorado.
  • Moved to Wilmington in 1996 and met my wife at the Azalea Festival in 1998.
  • We own Moxie Floral Design Studio in downtown Wilmington.
  • I play the drums in local bands and during the summer of 2011 performed with The M-80’s (Wilmington’s only all 80’s band) on the main stage at The Azalea Fest, WECT Sounds Of Summer at Wrightsville Beach, and Mayfair Music On The Town. I’m still performing with The M-80’s.

  • Born in Wilmington.

  • Attended schools in Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Mexico.
  • Spent time in Chapel Hill but never attended class.
  • Attended business school at UNCW.
  • Saw Cream perform in Atlanta in 1968.
  • Saw Jimi Hendrix perform in Charlotte in 1970.
  • Saw the Rolling Stones perform in Myrtle Beach in 1978 (Peter Tosh opened).
  • Waited tables and served Paul Newman in Nantucket.
  • Selling career includes general hardware, fishing tackle, and auto parts.
  • Started at Intracoastal in 1990 as agent #14.  (When asked, Jim said he thought he would expand to about 25 agents.)
  • Showed property to author Patricia Cornwell.

Each week at our sales meeting we have a “Mystery Agent.” This gives us a chance to learn more about one of our colleagues that we may not have known otherwise.

  • Lived whole life in NC—from mountains to the sea.
  • Currently have 5 living generations in my immediate family.
  • There is historical drama about my family in NC during the Revolutionary War.
  • Two favorite things to do are parasailing and snow skiing.
  • Enjoy traveling, and one of my favorite places is Rio de Janeiro.
  • Among my proudest accomplishments is Teacher of the Year in two schools.
  • Was a Cheerleader from junior high through college.
  • My name is also a city.
  • Have Two children_ one has four legs and a tail.
  • Have taught everything from Real Estate Math to belly dancing!
  • Beginning my favorite sport in midlife, I have had two holes in one and have been Ladies’ Senior Club Champ!

Each week at our sales meeting we have a “Mystery Agent.” This gives us a chance to learn more about one of our colleagues that we may not have known otherwise.

  • Nickname is Bam Bam.
  • Has always lived in the state of North Carolina.
  • Was chosen “Best Hair” in High School.
  • The sports I enjoyed and played throughout school included: basketball, softball, track, cheerleading and gymnastics.
  •  Came very close to going to the Softball World Series for my All-Star little league team. We were in the Semi finals and lost to Florida.
  • Started dance at age 2 and now as an adult enjoy Zumba.
  • Puppy I have now has swallowed my engagement ring!
  • Sang a duet with a successful indie rock country band and got credited on the album.
  • Was a processor and underwriter for large bank for 4 years.
  • Favorite past time is enjoying the beach with my family and friends and pup.

  • Grew up in a county with the population of 13,000 and one stop light.
  • Attended Camp Seafarer for many years and worked there as a counselor while in High School.
  • Moved to Wilmington in 2006.
  • Loves to travel to tropical places, up next is Belize in November.
  • Worked as a nanny while in college.
  • Graduated from UNCW with a degree in Communication Studies.
  • After college looked for a job in Event Planning but quickly learned she was not interested in weddings.
  • Event coordinator and auction chair for the Greater Wilmington Sports Hall of Fame.
  • Intracoastal Realty’s youngest Agent to sell a house at the age of 23. (beating out David Eggleston Jr)

  • Born in St. Louis.
  • Accomplished pianist since age 4.
  • Learned to water ski at age 5 and spent childhood summers competing in trick ski tournaments.
  • Was a high school cheerleader and homecoming queen.
  • Traveled to every European country…twice!
  • Worked college summers at dude ranches in Jackson Hole and Colorado.
  • Graduated from UNC Chapel Hill w/ a double major in elementary education and psychology.
  • Went on a blind date w/ UNC basketball player Eric Montross.
  • Once shared an ice cream cone with George Brett of the Kansas City Royals.
  • Waited tables at where Wally’s (Blue Water) where she started dating (later married) her boss.
  • First grown up job was loan processor at First Union.
  • Has been at Intracoastal 14 years.
  • Married a Duke fan, but their boys turned out okay, anyway. They are Tar Heels!

  • Grew up in Upstate NY.
  • Attended the University of Rochester.
  • Played college Football and was a Javelin thrower for the track and field team.
  • Spent 7 years living in San Diego, CA.
  • Has made 4 solo cross country drives.
  • Member of the Society for Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.
  • Assisted an injured hiker in a helicopter air rescue.
  • Enjoys NASCAR.
  • Spent 2 years as a Kindergarten Aide.
  • Taught HS Civics and Economics in Charlotte, NC.
  • Played in a poker tournament with Jerry Buss (owner of Lakers).
  • Has worked as a background/extra in movies and print – and was recently cast as a regular “Extra” in the new JJ Abrahms’ TV series “Revolution”, being shot here in Wilmington  (JJ Abrahms wrote & produced the TV series “Lost” as well as others)
  • Enjoys fishing, golfing, and hiking
