Here is a video segment that featured Intracoastal agent Amy Holcomb’s listing on the TODAY Show. This property was chosen by their production team using Trulia! Barbara Corcoran uses Trulia and Zillow almost exclusively for her property searches, and the link they posted on the Today Show’s website links to the property page on Trulia.
Barbara Corcoran talks about the listing and the Wilmington area beginning at the 45-second mark. Nice work in marketing the property and the area, Amy Holcomb! This is great exposure for our entire coastal area!

Intracoastal Realty Corporation announced that Jimmy Hopkins will lead the Intracoastal team in the 2011 Wilmington Chamber of Commerce’s annual sustainable resources development campaign, which kicked off March 23 with a reception for volunteers at the Chamber. The annual campaign raises funds needed to finance new and existing Chamber programs, events and publications. A talented team composed entirely of volunteers raises these funds through the recruitment of new members and by securing sponsorships and advertising sales.
The Campaign 2011 goal is $245,000. A sports theme—the Chamber Sports Federation—has been designed to bring excitement, entertainment and fun to the Campaign. At the kickoff, volunteers got into the spirit by wearing shirts from their college alma maters and heard inspirational messages from legendary coaches and sports figures.
Intracoastal Realty has participated in this annual campaign for the past eight consecutive years, with representatives serving as Team Captains and Division Leaders, as well as being consistent Top Producers. Hopkins has volunteered for the past three years, representing the New Homes division of Intracoastal Realty.

Congratulations to the At Home With Diversity® Certification Recipients from Intracoastal Realty: Patricia Fox, Susie Loftis, and Bob McCorkle.
The At Home With Diversity® course is part of a comprehensive cultural diversity outreach program that will help real estate companies diversify their workplaces and improve the industry’s ability to serve culturally diverse consumers. NAR and HUD undertook a joint effort in 1998 to certify real estate professionals who are trained regarding cultural diversity and outreach and have made a commitment to a set of diversity principles. The training, built on the letter and spirit of the Fair Housing Act, provides participants with tools to build diversity outreach into their business plans to best serve a dynamic and growing market. This course is available to all professionals involved in the real estate transaction.
The AHWD course has two major objectives:
1. Heighten awareness of and sensitivity to the social and cultural constituencies of local real estate markets. Participants learn about the people who make up the local market, along with their values, customs, real estate needs, and expectations of real estate professionals.
2. Provide practical skills and tools to increase the professional’s effectiveness in servicing all social groups. Specifically, the course builds skills in cross-cultural communication and strategic business planning.
Patricia Fox believes the training has been very beneficial to her career. “When I arrived from NY 19 years ago I was slightly shocked and mightily impressed with Wilmington‘s diversity; it was then and still is so much more than just a ‘small southern town.’ So when the AHWD course was offered, I quickly signed up. My concentration as a Realtor is Relocation, so I work with clients from the larger cities, many of whom are ethnically diverse. I enjoy inter-relating with them and surprising them with our diverse ethnic restaurants, places of worship and residents.”
