The Teacher’s Fund was established in 2005 to help local elementary school teachers buy supplies, teaching aids, and learning devices for their classrooms. To date, the Teacher’s Fund has raised and distributed over $225,000. This amount has allowed the Teacher’s Fund to give over 1,000 grants that have helped more than 100,000 local students! Donations come from Intracoastal agents, local companies, Beacon Title Insurance, and other generous individuals in our community.
We are pleased to announce that 823 tickets were sold in our recent fund-raising raffle, which raised $8,230 for the Teacher’s Fund! This surpasses last year’s ticket sales by 38%. With Intracoastal Realty’s gracious donation of five iPad’s for the raffle, all the money raised from the tickets will go directly to the Teacher’s Fund! The winning names were pulled by Teacher’s Fund board member and Winter Park Elementary teacher Constance Lamar at our sales meeting this morning:
We want to send a big thank you to everyone who bought tickets. This is quite an accomplishment that will touch the lives of so many local students and teachers. We also want to thank the top ticket sellers as well. November 2012 Wilmington NC Real Estate Market Updates for Residential Closings
Intracoastal Realty offers a real estate market update for November 2012 for Brunswick County, Pleasure Island, and the Wilmington area.
The market update includes stats MLS wide for single family homes in Brunswick County including the following areas: Ocean Isle Beach, Ocean Isle Beach Wooded, Ocean Isle Beach Mainland, Caswell Beach, Southport, Boiling Springs Lakes, St. James, Bald Head Island and Yaupon. Ocean Isle Beach Wooded shows the highest ASP (Average Sales Price) for the period.
Also reflected in the market update is the greatest number of homes in the Carolina Beach and Kure Beach or the Pleasure Island area that closed based on zip codes for the market. In November 2012, Carolina Beach closed a strong 29 units with an average sales price of $242,065 in comparison with Kure Beach coming in at 6 with an average sales price of $400,833.
For Wilmington, the market update focused on the number of single family homes closed by zip code across the following: 28401, 28403, 28405, 28409, 28411, 28412, 28451, 28480, 28428, 28449, and 28443. 28451 was the clear leader with 73 homes, and 28480 has the highest average sales price per home.

Jim Wallace- Life Member Award
In addition to our award winners, Ashley Garner, Susan Lacy, and Deb Hays were recognized for their service at the NCAR level and Kristen Crawford was recognized for her participation in the Affordable Housing initiative.
