Teacher’s Fund Raffle Winners!

The Teacher’s Fund was established in 2005 to help local elementary school teachers buy supplies, teaching aids, and learning devices for their classrooms. To date, the Teacher’s Fund has raised and distributed over $225,000. This amount has allowed the Teacher’s Fund to give over 1,000 grants that have helped more than 100,000 local students! Donations come from Intracoastal agents, local companies, Beacon Title Insurance, and other generous individuals in our community.

We are pleased to announce that 823 tickets were sold in our recent fund-raising raffle, which raised $8,230 for the Teacher’s Fund! This surpasses last year’s ticket sales by 38%. With Intracoastal Realty’s gracious donation of five iPad’s for the raffle, all the money raised from the tickets will go directly to the Teacher’s Fund! The winning names were pulled by Teacher’s Fund board member and Winter Park Elementary teacher Constance Lamar at our sales meeting this morning:

Lentz Brewer
Allen Phillips
Barbara Hess
Zander Koonce
Emma Leonard

We want to send a big thank you to everyone who bought tickets. This is quite an accomplishment that will touch the lives of so many local students and teachers. We also want to thank the top ticket sellers as well. The following Intracoastal agents sold the most tickets and will have lunch with Jim Wallace to celebrate: Michelle Clark, Liz Bianchini, Linda Franklin, Maureen Robison, and JoAnne Fox.

Owning a Home: A Great Long-Term Investment

Making a Smart Long-Term Investment

As a general rule over time, real estate appreciates about 4 percent each year. Some years will be more, some will be less.

Despite the real estate bubble and subsequent market correction, owning a home remains a great long-term investment.

With historically low interest rates and an attractive selection of homes for sale, this is a great time to buy. As a seller, there are options. Please feel free to contact one of our exceptional agents if you have any questions about the market, or if you would like to discuss your options.
