An Ohio native with a BBA from Ohio University in General Business, Business Pre-Law, and Human Resource Management and a minor in Political Science, Michelle gained her own Southeastern real estate experience using her strong background in sales and negotiations from working with a telecommunication company’s real estate division.
Since becoming a Broker at the Wrightsville Beach Intracoastal Realty office, Michelle has received several professional designations, including that of an Accredited Luxury Home Specialist (ALHS). Being a specialist ensures she offers a high level of service unique to both buyers’ and sellers’ needs when it comes to a luxury investment. Michelle became a Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES) as well, where she gained a deeper understanding of the real estate needs and desires of customers aged 50 and older. She enhanced her already powerful negotiation skills by becoming a Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE). Michelle is also a Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource (SFR), which allows Michelle to better work with buyers and sellers of short sale properties and keeps her up with current market conditions to offer her clients the best possible service.
Honesty and integrity are important values that she uses daily; it is evident in Michelle’s work ethic as well as the service she provides for the community. While working hard for clients, Michelle also balances her time with many local organizations, including the American Heart Association Heart Walk and the Girls Leadership Academy of Wilmington (GLOW), and also serves as Lay Leader at Wrightsville United Methodist Church. She is a Leadership Wilmington Alumni and was commissioned in 2015 to be a Stephen Minister.
When Michelle isn’t working you may find her playing tennis, walking, doing Pilates, traveling, enjoying fine wine, or perhaps driving her 1978 Pontiac Trans Am (aka “Bandit”). She supports the UNCW Seahawks, but roots most enthusiastically for her favorite professional football team, the Cleveland Browns. Her interactions with clients don’t end when the keys are handed over; Michelle makes it a point to help people moving to the area get acclimated and find groups and people with similar interests and hobbies.
