Mandy Bobo was raised in Oak City, a small farm community in Eastern North Carolina. She is proud of her rural roots and upbringing. In 1996 she headed to the “big” city of Wilmington to attend UNC Wilmington later graduated in 2000 earning a degree in Recreational Therapy. Her time at UNCW offered Mandy a chance to explore the local area and she soon fell in love with this amazing community, the activities it has to offer and its natural beauty.
2006 brought a change to Mandy’s life when she married Mark Bobo. Together they have two beautiful daughters Lily and Audrey, two labradoodles Gus and Bo. In addition Mandy and Mark run a family business, Sound Heavy Machinery.
Prior to Mandy’s Real Estate career, she had the opportunity to travel the United States while working in Clinical Research. After the birth of her daughters, she worked as a preschool teacher and later as a teacher’s assistant within New Hanover County Public Schools.
Mandy loves being active, especially outdoors. On any given day, you will see her on the tennis courts, running all over Wilmington, walking with friends, surfing or hanging on the beach with her family. Her other passion is enjoying the amazing local restaurants with her husband. She happily gives newcomers and seasoned locals ideas for local dining.
Mandy became a REALTOR to enjoy her passion for helping people, building relationships, sharing her local knowledge while promoting the beautiful, diverse, yet laid back environment of the Wilmington and surrounding areas.
