Linda Smits - Intracoastal Realty

About Linda

Linda Smits and her family moved from Clarksville, Maryland to Wilmington in 2012 when her husband began working for Live Oak Bank.  In record time Linda learned the ins and outs of Wilmington, while getting three children adjusted to a new school community and new sports teams.  Her interest in interior design proved to be a valuable asset when the family purchased a “diamond in the rough” and had their old Wilmington home completely renovated.

Prior to beginning her career in real estate, Linda spent 13 years in the field of psychology providing both inpatient and outpatient counseling for adolescents and their families.  She enjoyed helping people and spent several years working in the behavioral health care field providing crisis intervention work telephonically for an Employee Assistance Program.  This special skill for helping people gives Linda a unique perspective dealing with her buyers and sellers and navigating the challenges related to moving.

Linda took up tennis when her youngest son started pre-school and plays in a 3.0/3.5 day league.  After moving to Wilmington, she took up golf, but plays for fun, preferring not to keep score.  Linda and her husband have a 22 foot Sea Hunt boat, perfect for family outings to Masonboro Island.   Linda’s family actively volunteers with Step Up Wilmington, a partnership with individuals to find long-term employment, as well as teaching interview techniques, time management, goal setting and resume building.   Linda’s philosophy is that everyone needs to be involved in giving back to the community where they live.

Linda is part of the Valentine-Wallace Group and is available to help you with all of your real estate needs.
