The neighborhood is only 2.4 miles from Downtown Wilmington, as well as the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Residents can reach Wrightsville Beach, only 8 miles away, in less than 20 minutes.


The subdivision of Beaumont is located within the New Hanover County Schools district, which serves two preschools, 26 elementary schools, nine middle schools and seven high schools. K-12 students in the neighborhood will attend Forest Hills Elementary, Williston Middle and New Hanover High.

The surrounding area also offers several institutes for higher education, such as the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, Cape Fear Community College and Brunswick Community College.
