Paula Ferebee of Intracoastal Realty recently earned the nationally recognized Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource (SFR) certification. The SFR curriculum and standards are governed by the National Association of REALTORS®. Agents with the SFR certification have an understanding of how to direct distressed sellers to finance, tax, and legal professionals; qualify sellers for short sales; negotiate with lenders; limit risk; and protect buyers. National Association of REALTORS recently reported that nearly one-third of existing home sales were either short sales or foreclosures.
