The graph below depicts an eye-opening return on investment for real estate. The graph is based on assumptions that an equal amount of money was invested in each of the three markets shown and in real estate on January 1, 2000. With all of the negative media attention, who would have thought that real estate not only provided the highest ROI, but was the only category of the four producing a positive return?
